Major Exam Lapse: JKBOSE Postpones Class 12th Exam Due to Question Paper Error

In a significant oversight, students in the class 12th examination for the Physical Education subject were mistakenly given question papers designed for class 11th by the examination staff, causing uproar among the students. Responding promptly to the situation, the Jammu & Kashmir Board authorities have decided to postpone the class 12th Physical Education examination scheduled for today. The Joint Secretary Examination at JKBOSE has confirmed this postponement and assured that a new date for the exam will be announced in the near future.

The examination staff has been instructed to collect both the answer books and the incorrect question papers from the examination centers. These will be sealed in separate packets and submitted to the concerned board office. This incident has not only inconvenienced the students but has also brought into question the integrity of the examination process.

According to reports, the question papers, labeled as 12th-grade papers, were mistakenly distributed at various examination centers across the union territory. An official from JKBOSE mentioned that a thorough investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the error and prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

The implications of such a lapse in the examination system are significant and raise concerns about the credibility and fairness of the assessment process. The incident underscores the need for stringent measures to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and to uphold the standards of education in the region.
