Union public service commission(UPSC) Released notification of Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) under examination Notice NO.09/2023-CPF
OVERVIEW:
The Union Public Service Commission will hold a Written Examination on 06th August, 2023 for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF),
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The Examination will b held in accordance with the Rules for the published by Ministry of Home Affairs in the Gazette of India dated 26th April, 2023.
The date of holding the examination as mentioned above is liable to b changed at the discretion of the Commission.
The tentative Examination number of vacancies to b filled on the results of the examination is as follows;
(i) BSF 86
(ii) CRPF 55
(iii) CISF 91
(iv) ITBP 60
(iv) SSB 30

The number of vacancies mentioned above is liable to alteration. Reservation will b given effect to as per policy of the Govt. 10% of the vacancies are earmarked for ex-servicemen.
NOTE: In case the vacancy(ies) reserved for Ex-servicemen remain unfilled due to non-availability of eligible or qualified candidates, the same shall b filled by candidates from non- ex-servicemen category.

HOW TO APPLY:
Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website https://www.upsconline.nic.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination.
OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can b done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination.
4. FEE :
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
i) Written Examination:
(ii) Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests
(iii) Interview/Personality Test.
(iv) Final Selection / Merit.
