Job Opportunity: Project Associate-1/Junior Research Fellow at University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir
The University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir, specifically the Division of Wildlife Sciences, is offering a unique opportunity for eligible candidates to work on the critically endangered Kashmir Red Deer conservation project funded by the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MOEFCC) of the Government of India.
Position Details
- Position Advertised: Project Associate-1/Junior Research Fellow
- Number of Positions: One (01)
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 + HRA for NET qualified candidates; Rs. 25,000 + HRA for Non-NET candidates
- Age Limit: Up to 40 years
- Project Duration: 09 Months
Qualifications
- Essential Qualifications: Masters (MSc/MVSc) in Wildlife Sciences OR MSc in Zoology/Forestry/Veterinary Science/Biotechnology with wildlife field experience
- Desirable Qualifications: BSc in Agriculture & allied fields/Natural Sciences with significant experience in Wildlife conservation genetics
- Description of Work: Involves field surveys, sample collection, molecular genetics work, and preparation of project reports
Terms & Conditions
- The positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- Selected candidates shall not have a claim for absorption in SKUAST.
- Probation for six months; performance will be periodically reviewed.
- Candidates may need to work at field stations and laboratories in Dehradun.
