Job Posting: Junior Project Fellow at National Institute of Technology Srinagar
National Institute of Technology Srinagar invites applications for the position of a Junior Project Fellow (JPF) under a JKST&IC Funded Project. The project, titled “Estimating Compressive Strength of Concrete using Deep Convolution Neural Networks- An Efficient Nondestructive Testing Method,” will be led by Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Sofi (P.I.) and Prof. Javed Ahmad Bhat (Co-P.I.) in the Department of Civil Engineering.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree with a background in artificial intelligence or machine learning. Project-related experience will be preferable.
- A relevant master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, or having qualified GATE Examination in Civil Engineering with a relevant background in Deep Convolutional Neural Networks/Machine learning and programming skills in Python language will be given preference.
Nature & Period of Post:
The appointment is initially for one year with the possibility of extension for a second year, contingent on satisfactory performance and funding agency grant release.
Fellowship:
The JPF will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 20,000.
