Health and Medical Education :Notification for minimum qualification and method of recruitment in respect of Non-Gazetted and Class-IV posts(Multi Tasking Staff) for Government Medical College, Srinagar.
Overview
WHEREAs, the minimum qualification and method of recruitment in respect of all categories of posts of Government Medical College, Jammu/Srinagar was
notified vide Government Order No.26-HME of 2006 dated 10.01.2006 read with
Government Order No.34-HME of 2018 dated 11.01.2018 and amended from time to time;
WHEREAS, the qualifications prescribed for recruitment in respect of many posts have
become obsolete with time and that of qualifications have mostly got changed since then.

Besides in respect of many posts, the qualifications like Diploma in relevant line
have beeen prescribed in the said Government Orders without specifying the relevant line.
This makes it difficult for Recruiting Agency to make selections who often seeking clarifications from
the Health and Medical Education Department for specifying these relevant lines;
WHEREAS, after 2006, new creations have ben made and for which no rules have beeen framed and
in some cases the posts are not created for Government Medical College, Srinagar.
Therefore It has beeen felt that there is need to revise the minimum qualifications for all categories of
posts which will help the Department to refer the direct recruitment
posts to the Recruiting Agency as well as promotion avenues in respect of officials which were ignored in the previous orders;

WHEREAs, in some posts which have ben created way back and their method of recruitment for direct recruitment or
by promotion have not beeen notified till date and for that reasons these posts cannot b filled through direct recruitment nor by promotion;
AND WHEREAS, the formulation and finalization of formal recruitment rules for these posts is likely to take
considerable time in light of the procedure involved as the College have beeen established four decades back and
on the other hand there is an urgent requirement to fill up the created posts and the minimum
qualifications for recruitment and method of recruitment shall has b notified for these posts through an executive order
so that the direct recruitment posts may b referred to the J&K Services Selection Board for selection purposes/promotion;
Now therefore, in supersession of previous orders on the subject, sanction is hereby accorded for issuing of
minimum qualification and method of recruitment in respect of non Gazetted and Class-IV posts
(Multi Tasking Staff) for Government Medical College,Srinagar, as per the detailed indicated in Annexure-“A and B” to this Order.
