Army Public School, Jammu Cantt Job Vacancy
Army Public School, Jammu Cantt has announced a job vacancy for the post of TGT (Social Science) on various terms including Term / Contractual and Adhoc basis for the session 2024-25. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 50% in the concerned subjects or a combination of subjects inclusive of History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, with a mandatory requirement for one to be either History or Geography. Additionally, candidates must have a B. Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
The school is also seeking a Science Laboratory Attendant (Biology) with a minimum educational qualification of 10+2 in Science (Biology) and candidates should be computer literate.
Essential Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/combinations of subjects and in aggregate. The required subjects include History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, with one being either History or Geography.
- B. Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
- For the Science Laboratory Attendant position, a candidate must be 10+2 with Science (Biology) and be computer literate.
Additional Requirements:
- For Term based appointments, CSB and CTET/TET is mandatory.
- Proficiency in teaching in English medium is essential.
- Computer Application knowledge is desirable.

Selection Process:
A screening exam for non-CSB candidates, Computer Literacy, and Subject Proficiency test are tentatively scheduled for 03 April 2024 at 1000h. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will take place on 05 April 2024.
Age Limit:
Candidates should be below 40 years for fresh candidates and below 57 years for experienced candidates, including ESM, as of 01 April 2024. Widows of battle casualties/battle accidents and wives of disabled Army personnel boarded out with 100% disability will receive age concessions per AWES rules.
Salary:
Compensation for the appointed candidates will be as per AWES Rules.
